Stephen Silverman, MD is board-certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and is one of only about 3700 diplomates of ABAM in the world. He is the founder and medical director of Lifeline Addiction Treatment Center, treating patients since 2008. Stephen Silverman, MD has had many years of experience as the addiction-medicine director of a large, outpatient counseling center on Long Island. Stephen Silverman, MD develops individualized treatment protocols based on addiction-medicine principles that enable each patient to be successful on his or her road to recovery.
Stephen Silverman, MD received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed his medical residency at St. Lukes Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. As a young man, before attending medical school, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand’s Malaria Control Program.
